Looking Up

We pulled out of the Cub Foods parking lot and stopped at the red light. Bored and ready to get to my destination, and I was feeling anxious about being late. I looked up at the sky, and my thoughts stopped in their tracks. There above me sat the most serene, gentle blue sky. It was the kind of sky that had small, soft clouds scattered across it. The kind of sky you want to snuggle your face into like a big pillow. I couldn't pull my eyes away.

How often I forget to look up! I blame this forgetfulness, in part, on the fact that I live in the city. Here we don't have the open views like my hometown, so I have to make an effort to look up. Each time I do look up, though, it proves rewarding.

Look up. Get inspired.
